About your role
There is now an exciting opportunity to join this privately owned business as an IT support officer and SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR. Reporting to our general manager & IT manager, you will be responsible for the day to day support of our users and the maintenance of our diverse infrastructure. What you will bring
• A degree in computer science or equivalent industry experience.
• A broad range of knowledge across the entire gamut of IT. We don’t expect you to know everything, but we do expect you to want to learn, research and ask those that do know.
• Commercial experience as an IT support officer/administrator.
• Your great communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• A passion for creating world class customer experiences, internal and external to the company.
• Experience with databases, server virtualisation, backups and cyber security.
What you will do
• Support our diverse users in day to day operations. This can involve anything from resolving a simple email issue, to implementing new software, to new workflows.
• Work with our in-house IT team, learning the IT infrastructure & systems with an eye towards continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with and manage external providers to achieve best possible outcomes.
• Maintain high-quality standards with a focus on security and usability.
• Learn, evaluate and provide recommendations around the adoption of suitable new technologies, tools and procedures.
• Have the outcomes of the business front and centre, whilst maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment.
