Platform Communications is actively seeking a JuniorCommunications Consultant. This is a key role within the company and is offered on a casual basis for a minimum of 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday preferably) with an immediate start, based in our North Perth office.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role you will be a key member of the team and play a significant part within our Communications department. This position offers a great opportunity to embark on your next career journey. The role requires someone who is an excellent communicator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You will also need strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Your strong communication skills will allow the company to continue to be a respected leader in their field. The role offers variety, where you will manage digital media, and also provide expertise to projects being managed by colleagues.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Work alongside account managers to support strategic communication solutions
- Provide website support
- Take on any digital media needs including social media management
- Assist the team with marketing campaigns and stakeholder events
- Event management
- Assisting with the preparation and presentation of proposals
This is a casual role, however for the right candidate we are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
ABOUT YOU
You will have a passion for communications in all its forms – spoken, written and digital – and enjoy building strong effective relationships with your colleagues and our clients. The ability to understand complex information quickly will be an advantage along with a solutions-based mindset and excellent time management and organisational skills. In addition to bringing a ‘can-do’ attitude to your workday you will need some other essential skills in your new role:
- Tertiary qualifications in public relations / marketing / journalism or equivalent working experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding problem solving and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated advanced capability using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook
- Exceptional organisational skills managing multiple tasks, competing priorities and deadlines
- Agile and high level of initiative
- Thrive in an environment where you can work autonomously and as part of a team
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Experience with social media marketing
- Previous work experience in a similar role
- Valid ‘C’ class Drivers Licence
