About the business and the role
We are an International Logistics company with a high focus on customer service. We are seeking motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the exciting field of air freight logistics. At Mode Logistics, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our clients while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
In this role you will be responsible for a large range of customers handling shipments from start to finish. Position is full time Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm.
Duties will include, but are not limited too;
- Receive/confirm bookings from shippers in a timely manner
- Confirm and book shipment with preferred carriers and issue booking confirmations direct to the customer
- Full registration of shipments and Invoicing clients directly in EDI Enterprise
- Cutting Air Waybills
- Lodge EDN's
- Generate Export permits and all other relevant DAWR documentation for cargo to be cleared for export
- Sending Pre Alerts to clients
- Liaise with airline lines, our warehouse staff and service providers
- Process & respond to emails from customers
- Deliver a high level of customer service
Other duties include attending to daily enquiries, prompt checking and monitoring of emails and completing tasks set from the Airfreight Manager and General Manager when required.
Skills and experience
Experience in a similar role is not essential. Full training will be provided. Competency with Microsoft Office software would be advantageous.
