Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Junior Finance Administrator to manage our financial records and ensure the smooth operation of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, organised, and proficient in accounting principles and software. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our company while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (ie: Xero).
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare and submit financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documentation.
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and address inquiries.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and apply knowledge to improve processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Relevant certification (e.g., Certificate IV in Bookeeping) preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations is a plus.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
