Role Description
Supporting the Adelaide team, our Junior Finance Officer will be responsible for assisting with financial tasks and providing timely support to our freelancing community and clients. The Junior Finance Officer will also support senior team members with various financial activities and projects.
- The position requires availability on Mondays. Initially 1 day a week, this role has scope to expand.
- Our team are in Adelaide and occasional in-person meetings may be required, but the role is primarily remote.
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of finance and accounting principles through relevant work experience and preferably, study
- Proficiency in Xero Accounting Software and Microsoft Office, particularly as tools to analyse data and complete financial reporting
- Demonstrated aptitude with a focus on precision in all aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliation
- Experience running payroll that can change in size and complexity, and a working knowledge of all associated legislative requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to problem solve and show initiative as part of a team.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, focusing on clear and timely interactions with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Previous experience in project management accounting and/or a client-focused role will be considered advantageous
