Junior Shipping Operations/Boarding Officer

We are seeking a motived Junior to join our team of experienced Shipping and Boarding Officers in our Whyalla Office.

Monson has 19 locations across Australia with offices strategically positioned in New Zealand, Singapore, China, throughout South East Asia and a Centre of Excellence in Manila.

We will provide on the job training for the following role :-

• Attending to bulk vessels in Port of Whyalla
• Control and reporting of vessel movements
• Ensuring customs, AQIS and Terminal requirements are met
• Data entry and maintenance of vessel files, including inputting, updating, and maintaining relevant information in our internal databases and systems
• Liaison with overseas and local principles on a daily basis
• Attending to general customer enquiries

This role requires some weekends and out-of-hours work customary for the industry. 

• Good MS Office and computer skills
• Reliable and have good time management skills
• Good communication skills with a focus on customer service and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business
• Reliable team player and ability to work autonomously
• Currently holds (or is eligible to obtain), a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
• C-Class Driver's Licence
