About You: An experienced Garment Technician with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a fashion brand or apparel supplier environment. You thrive on working to the highest quality standards throughout the production process, from garment construction to final fit.
Responsibilities:
Dive in and assist the design and production teams in creating and updating technical specifications to produce samples for costing.
Conduct fit sessions to provide insight into correct sizing, fit, and grading into production.
Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers and work with the Production Manager on timelines.
Review and access garments including production samples and shipping samples, and manage and support bulk QC.
Produce specifications for garment technical packs, including updating product BOMs, visual POMs, fit comments, and graded specs.
Create care label instructions for all production orders and own the SMS sample stage to bulk production.
Measure all garments from sampling through to production to ensure garments are measuring to spec sheets.
Analyse product returns and keep up to date with all fabrication knowledge.
Maintain close relationships with suppliers and all external and internal stakeholders.
Ad-hoc duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Have at least 3 years of experience as a Garment Technician in a fashion brand
Advanced knowledge of garment construction, fabrications, fit, shape, and trims
Diploma in Fashion Technology or equivalent essential
A leader with strong communication and relationship-building skills
Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Ability to clearly articulate fits and commentary
Adobe Illustrator experience
