The Role
Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior Legal Assistant to join our Brisbane Property team. As a Legal Assistant you will display initiative, professionalism and high attention to detail with experience ideally within a Property Law practice group.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Assisting in the preparation and finalisation of legal documents;
- Conducting and compiling corporate/property searches;
- Drafting correspondence, word processing;
- Maintaining and updating deeds/precedents/client databases;
- Billing, expenses management and preparing/sending bills;
- Being across billing requirements for clients with specific billing and reporting requirements;
- Liasing with clients;
- File management;
- Coordinating and organising team meetings/events/travels;
- Mail merging, formatting and collating documents;
- Diary/calendar management;
- Answering phone calls and assisting with client enquiries and
- Providing ad hoc general administration duties and assisting to other areas of the business when required.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have 1 years’ experience working in a law firm. The role will require the candidate to proactively manage workflow, with an emphasis on organisational skills to manage incoming work, delegate tasks, and process work effectively.
Excellent communication and diary management skills, with a client service focus are essential, as well as the ability to work in a team and follow directions. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks, display initiative, have good attention to detail and a proven history of meeting deadlines. The role will require the candidate to proactively manage workflow, with an emphasis on organisational skills to manage incoming work, delegate tasks, and process work effectively.
