About the Role...
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Product Design Engineer to join our hardware product development team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and development of our next-generation products, contributing innovative ideas and technical expertise to bring concepts to reality.
Reporting to the National Hardware Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with National Hardware Manager to design and develop new products from ideation to production.
- Create detailed Product Designs using CAD software, ensuring designs meet functional requirements, manufacturing feasibility, and aesthetic standards.
- Generate prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate product performance, usability, and reliability, iterating designs based on feedback and test results.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including product specifications, design drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, marketing, and quality assurance, to coordinate product development activities and ensure project milestones are met.

To be successful, you will have the following qualifications and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and design.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
