Are you a confident Product Design Engineer with a passion for excellent innovation? Do you have a strong foothold in mechanical design and manufacturing techniques? We are looking for a passionate designer to join a close-knit leading Product Design and development consultancy.

The Role
As a Product Design Engineer, you’ll be part of the design and development of compelling solutions using great problem solving and conceptual thinking skills. You will be expected to champion your own projects as well work collaboratively with the team. You will be responsible for;

• Detailed development of concepts throughout the product life cycle
• Material selection with consideration of characteristics
• Ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines, procedures and specifications
• Preparing 3D model files and managing production documentation
• Working in a collaborative team with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Being self-sufficient and able to project manage your own work

Skills and experience
With at least 5 - 7 years relevant Product Design experience, you’ll:

• Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Product Design / Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Possess high level skills in 3D CAD modelling
• Have strong communication skills and be comfortable presenting to the team and to clients
• Be passionate about design, revelling in the detailed technical and mechanical solutions you develop
• Have a strong understanding of technologies, materials, manufacturing processes and operations
• Embrace challenges and tackle them with collaborative workflow and a strategic mindset
