As Junior Sous Chef, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. You will support and assist in planning the contemporary Australian menu of Ursula’s Paddington, its production, and ensuring that all food products are executed at a consistently high level.
Applicants must have the following skills and experience:
- Passion for cookery and cuisine
- At least four years’ experience working in premium restaurants, including a minimum of two years working in a two or three hat restaurant
- Experience in expediting a service whilst cooking on a station
- Demonstrated experience monitoring food costs, conducting stocktakes, acting as a quality controller and communicating with suppliers
- Rostering and ordering experience
- Experience in maintaining a food safety program
- Proficiency in Lightspeed and Deputy, and
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
