We are looking for a high-energy Key Account Manager to service our Melbourne West Territory, selling quarry products and recycling services for our Laverton Recycling Facility.
You will grow aggregate and road base sales volumes by building strong relationships with capital works and civil contractors, and also maintain relationships with demolishers to ensure adequate supply of incoming construction materials for recycling.
While you’ll be based out of our Derrimut Head Office, this role will see you splitting most of your time between our Laverton facility and being out on the road.
In your new role, you will:
Formulate, develop and coordinate the delivery of Key Account Management Plans (KAMPs) to support relationships with key customers, VicRoads and local councils.
Generate new business by building and maintaining strong relationships with capital works and civil contractors
Maintain a pipeline of business activity from existing customers
Achieve territory/account sales volume targets as well as new product volume targets
Be actively involved with various industry bodies through attending relevant events and conferences
Regularly conduct market analysis and gather market intelligence within the industry
This role is a great fit, if you have:
Previous experience in a Key Account Management role, preferably within the civil construction market
Solid experience with technical selling
The ability to quickly develop product/industry knowledge
Superior communication and negotiation skills
Strong strategic, commercial and critical thinking skills
A high level of emotional resilience and a positive attitude
Strong presentation, negotiating and influencing skills
A positive and influential presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work productively with the production team to solve challenges, and communicate market trends
