ABOUT THE POSITION
As the Landscape Design Manager, you'll be responsible for managing medium to large scale commercial and residential projects from conception to completion. You'll play a pivotal role in client consultations, project planning, design development, and construction oversight. Additionally, you'll supervise junior staff, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and foster strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality drawings
- Manage incoming enquiries and prepare fee proposals
- Supervise junior staff and delegate project responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of design projects, ensuring compliance with Council requirements
- Produce detailed landscape plans and operational works drawings
- Attend meetings and collaborate with other disciplines
- Solve complex problems, sometimes under time pressure
- Present project-related matters to clients and builders
- Manage pricing and procurement for residential and boutique projects
- Cultivate relationships with suppliers and clients
- Work closely with estimating and construction teams to ensure project success
- Demonstrate expertise in sub-tropical and native plants common in South East Queensland
- 5+ years experience in landscape architecture
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Environmental Planning, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of landscape architecture principles, horticulture, site planning, and construction techniques.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong project management skills
