Lead Contracts and Procurement Specialist

SEEKING a Lead Contracts and Procurement Specialist to play a crucial role in the development, implementation and management of procurement and contracting strategies to ensure timely and successful delivery of goods, services and works to meet our Client's hydrogen project requirements and objectives.
Your duties will be:

• Develop robust contract strategies for projects in co-ordination with stakeholders, covering the life cycle of a project.
• Develop, coordinate and evaluate tender packages for works, capital equipment and services.
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions.
• Conduct sourcing activities in accordance with established Project Controls and Contracts and Procurement policies and procedures.
• Develop well written, well-structured contract and Procurement documentation including reports, memos and recommendations to the business and drafting contract documents.
• Manage contractor and vendor compliance with contract obligations and where necessary develop and implement strategies to address deficient performance.
• Proactive performance and relationship management as well as dispute avoidance; dispute resolution including claims assessment and development of resolution strategy.
• Provide training in contract awareness to project teams.
• Identify and maximise cost saving opportunities.

About you:

• 15+ years' Contracts experience in renewable, mining or similar industries.
• Bachelor degree in commerce, business, law, or construction desirable.
• Understanding the importance of stakeholder relationships and ability to engage effectively with engineers, legal, quality management, project controls and logistics to co-ordinate and ensure contractual delivery parameters are met.
