About the role:
Join our dynamic team as an integral member, where collaboration, respect, reliability, and sustainability are at the core of our values.
This is a fixed-term contract, with the potential for permanent employment.
We are seeking an experienced Lead - Contracts to support the project delivery team in the function of Contract Administration from tender to contract close out.
Our Project Delivery Group is a collective force, combining expertise in construction, commercial, engineering, project management, studies, and rail. With this wealth of knowledge, we create and deliver projects that optimise safety, efficiency, effectiveness, and capacity for CBH's supply chain infrastructure. Together, we act as a cohesive unit, driving the success of our supply chain and sustaining value for West Australian grain growers. You will be reporting to the Manager - Contracts working on multiple projects across the PDG Portfolio including Expansion, Enhancement, and Infrastructure requiring design, technical support and governance. You will also service Operations and Maintenance Teams through Engineering Work Requests.
Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team, you will:
Provide timely insights and feedback to internal customers and stakeholders regarding project costs
Managing contracts and reporting
Drafting and negotiating contract terms, with support from the legal team
Administering Pre-Award and Post-Award Tender processes
Participating in the review and assisting with the administration, negotiation and execution of variations and claims
High level of written skills with excellent attention to detail
Providing a level of guidance and advice to relevant stakeholders, internal and external
What you bring to the Role:
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in various project contracts, encompassing construction, design, and supply contracts. Construction experience desirable.
A degree qualification in project management, commerce, law, engineering, or equivalent; or relevant industry experience
Minimum 4 years of contracting experience in a project environment, client side preferable
Understanding of contract law and general law
In-depth knowledge of contract types and experience in drafting and managing significant (>$10M) construction contracts
Proven ability to lead contracting teams. Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
An ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate values of Collaboration, Respect, Reliability, Sustainability, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to monitor and evaluate progress and provide recommendations for improvement
Beneficial experience:
Experience in administering multiple contracts across various projects.
Experience in developing and managing project contracting plans.
Familiarity with contracting processes, SAP, and Ariba.
