What You Will Be Working On
As the Procurement and Contracts Lead at the City of Armadale, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding the Procurement and contracting activities of our organisation. Reporting directly to the Head of City Legal, you will provide strategic direction, expert advice, and operational leadership to our Procurement and Contracts team, ensuring that procurement processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with our organisational goals.
Your objectives will include:
- developing and executing strategic procurement plans that align with the City's goals and objectives, providing expert advice on market trends and procurement strategies, and driving accountability and performance within the team.
- foster a culture of continuous improvement and capability development, ensuring that our procurement outcomes are in line with best practices and financial sustainability.
- Strategic direction and leadership will lead to enhanced collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, improved engagement with suppliers, departments, and leadership.
- Successful implementation of new approaches and technologies that enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
