Lead Mechanic Fully Qualified - 5 Day Week

Are you a  Qualified mechanic seeking a lead role in a progressive highly varied workshop. We are looking for an enthusiastic Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our friendly, supportive family owned business in Brisbane's northern suburb of Geebung.

We are looking for an experienced mechanic who has the ability to take a leading role, willing to supervise apprentices and has the potential or ability to manage a workshop.

Our Business

• The work will be varied and interesting. As our name suggests, we work on all light vehicles which  can range from 1960s enthusiast's cars to 2023 first service vehicles. From road cars to 4WD  and vans, and a particular focus on European models. We have the experience and technical support to assist you in broadening your own experience.
• We have a well equipped, well laid out and brightly lit workshop with the latest in diagnostic equipment.  
• We support other workshops for diagnostic and reprogramming work and regularly receive 5 star reviews.
• Our customer base is a mix of retail and trade with both longstanding and new relationships. We pride ourselves in going the extra mile, in terms of the best long term solution for the customers repair or vehicle maintenance. We are committed to a high standard of workmanship and ensuring our customers are kept informed prior and during the work.
• We are a Repco Authorised Service Repairer and are also RACQ approved. 
• We are members of MTAQ and an QLD Approved Inspection Station.
• We believe in keeping up to date with current industry training so a willingness to learn new skills would be a real asset for the successful candidate and we will support this on an ongoing basis. 
• Hybrids are becoming a growing part of our work and we have are trained and equipping to transition to EVs as our customer base transforms.
• We currently operate Monday to Friday only.
• We are looking for candidates who are able to work both autonomously and as part of a team as we support shared diagnosis discussions to ensure the appropriate outcome.
• We are flexible on the level of experience a candidate possesses, while attitude and willingness to share their own experience is an essential.
• In return for your skills, experience and positive attitude we will offer a competitive salary well above reward rate but still include annual leave loading, tool allowance etc.
• As a workshop with a modern inclusive outlook and team, we will also consider candidates seeking a permanent part time position.

Qualifications/Experience

• Hold a Manual Open Licence
• Light Vehicle Mechanic Qualification and Experience
• Previous employment in a similar role
• Cert III Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• AC certification would be a positive benefit
