About The Role
As a Nursing Leader, you will play a vital role in orchestrating the daily operations of our Nursing team and medical practitioners. Your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum, from onboarding new staff and providing clinical support to addressing medical issues, supporting doctors, and ensuring smooth collaboration between scheduling and nursing teams to deliver exceptional service. Applicants must be registered Nurses (RNs) with AHPRA to be eligible for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations for medical practitioners, ensuring desired service levels.
- Performance management of nurses to ensure the standard of service is met.
- Monitor and manage queries and escalations during shifts, taking corrective actions.
- Analyse data to improve processes, allocate resources efficiently, and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Identify and document incidents and risks for patient safety and workplace health.
- Contribute to evidence-based clinical guidelines and processes, adhering to professional standards.
- Collaborate with clinic and operations leadership for optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to workforce planning and lead interviewing/hiring processes.
- Deliver on individual and departmental OKRs and KPIs.
- Foster a commitment to continuous improvement within the team.
- Provide support and leadership to your team to deliver exceptional service.
About You
The Lead Nurse role best suits an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a proven track record in cultivating a collaborative team environment and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate should exhibit proactive problem-solving skills, emphasizing a drive for continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will also showcase a history of building therapeutic relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
Skills:
- RN with current AHPRA registration without practice restrictions
- Proven expertise in the assessment and management of chronic diseases.
- Leadership experience highly regarded
- Ability to have complex yet supportive conversations around performance and expectations
- Demonstrated ability to maintain quality standards and adhere to best practices.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal forms.
- Display knowledge of professional standards and familiarity with Australia's legal and ethical frameworks governing patient care.
- Understanding quality standards, including the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards and Good Medical Practice. Showcase a demonstrated comprehension of their impact and implementation for providing high-quality patient care.
