We are looking to appoint a Lead Disability Support Worker to support individuals with complex needs, including sensory, physical and intellectual disabilities and often challenging behaviours living in shared support accommodation in the Como area. We empower our customers we support to live their best life.
Successful candidates must be available to work varied shift times from Monday to Sunday on a permanent roster.

Role Requirements:

• Support the Team Leader in the daily operation of the house
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
• Encourage, support and assist our clients in their daily activities
• Organise chosen activities ie. dance classes, swimming lessons & other social events
• Drive modified vehicles to accompany clients to appointments and social occasions
• Meet the unique needs of each individual by following their person centred plans and working towards their bigger life goals
• Mentor new staff and act as Lead in the absence of the Team Leader
• Maintain a welcoming home environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience working within the disability industry, ideally supporting individuals with complex support requirements
• Cert III in Disability/Individual Support (Disability) highly desirable
• A current WA Driver's Licence
• A NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Provide First Aid Clearance
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Police Clearance
