About the role
Reporting to the Supervisor Turf, this position provides effective in the field leadership and direction to the Turf Maintenance Officers to ensure that day-to-day tasks are effectively carried out and supports service delivery through the following key duties:
- Preparation and maintenance of passive turf and adjoining parks facilities in accordance with turf and parks maintenance industry best practice;
- Acts as the Turf Maintenance team’s first point of contact in the field for community members and contractors providing information that is factual, timely and delivered in a professional manner; and
- Ensuring that appropriate pedestrian safety and traffic management measures on work sites are in place as required.
About the successful candidate
The person we seek will have previous experience working in Turf Maintenance, effective interpersonal and communication skills and a Certificate III Horticulture or Sports Turf Management and/or equivalent experience in a similar role
The candidate appointed to the role will also require (or be willing to obtain):
- Current ‘MR’ Class Drivers Licence
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate
- Construction Induction ‘White’ Card;
Experience supervising a small team and/or Pest Management and Chemical Application competency would be advantageous.
This position is suited to someone with a positive attitude that enjoys working in an outdoor team environment.
What we offer
This Level 4, permanent, full-time position offers a salary of $69,602 - $76,525 per annum ($35.22 - $38.72 per hour), negotiable dependent on skills and experience + a Leading Hand Allowance of $27.24 per week + superannuation.
