About the role:
We are on the lookout for a Learning and Development Lead to join the team at our Central Support Office based in Bethania.
This role will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all Learning and Development activities within Palm Lake Care and ensuring that all employees successfully participate and complete required training modules. In addition to this, you will work collaboratively with relevant managers and employees to:
- Coordinate and deliver Learning and Development (L&D) activities, ensuring employee participation and completion.
- Collaborate with managers and employees to ensure L&D programs meet quality standards and objectives.
- Develop and evaluate learning frameworks and career advancement opportunities for employees.
- Maintain a monthly L&D calendar and coordinate with Registered Training Organisations and external agencies.
- Design and maintain induction programs and mandatory education for staff, volunteers, and students.
- Monitor and record employee completion of mandatory education, escalating non-compliance issues as needed.
- Maintain accessible and up-to-date L&D records for each community.
- Ensure qualified individuals deliver training and promote external training opportunities.
- Provide support during ACQASC audits and submit monthly L&D reports to the Operations Manager.
As a successful candidate, you will bring:
- Post graduate qualifications in adult education and training (desirable)
- Certificate IV In Workplace Training & Assessment (desirable)
- Minimum 5 years Aged Care Industry experience (essential)
- Demonstrated experience in a L&D role, encompassing responsibility for design and delivery of learning activities
- Demonstrated experience in consulting with relevant Subject Matter Experts to develop content for L&D programs
- A current “C” class licence
- Ability and willingness to travel to regional sites
- A current National Police check
