As the Learning and Development Manager, you will:
- Develop and implement a learning strategy and framework that is aligned with the organisation’s objectives
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in learning trends, changes in learning theory, developments in learning technologies and different training techniques including e-learning, coaching, mentoring, classroom training and workshops
- Define and communicate the organisation’s annual education priorities, allowing flexibility to respond to emerging risks and training needs.
- Use your change management skills to work collaboratively with the business to drive outcomes and engagement
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and lead the development of a sustainable role-based training matrix identifying mandatory and optional training, ensuring these at a minimum, meet the requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Manage the e-learning platform, supervising: onboarding of new staff, allocation of training modules (as per the training matrix), recording of live training sessions and uploading of new training modules
- Manage the team of educators across the employee lifecycle including recruitment, orientation, appraisals, performance, succession, retention, work distribution and review of achievements against pre-set targets
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports that identify mandatory completion rates and insights to enable targeted strategies to improve performance

To be successful you will need:
- At least three years’ experience in an education leadership role
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with current AHPRA registration
- An understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Cert IV in Assessment and Workplace Training
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs
- Strong project management skills, capable of coordinating multiple learning initiatives simultaneously
- In-depth knowledge of learning theories, instructional design principles, and adult learning methodologies
- Proficient in using learning management systems (LMS) and other e-learning platforms to deliver and track training programs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to deliver engaging and impactful training sessions to diverse audiences
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
- Data-driven mindset, using analytics and metrics to measure the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement
- Adaptable and innovative, able to continuously update and evolve learning strategies to meet the changing needs of the organisation
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and collaborating effectively across departments
- Bachelor’s degree in Organisational Development, Education, or a related field (desirable)
- Previous experience working in an Aged Care environment (desirable)
- Current Australian Drivers Licence and your own vehicle
- National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain (myHomecare can organise this at no cost to you)
