LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Role Purpose
We're searching for a diligent and passionate Learning & Development Director to join our team. This role will drive our development programs across ANZ.
You'll be busy designing and implementing our L&D strategy to build capability across our teams and help our people to grow and develop. As our L&D lead you'll actively promote our learning philosophy and vision, identify training needs and priorities along with facilitating/coordinating key programs that produce measurable returns.
As our L&D lead you will be commercially minded (you'll be overseeing our Groupe L&D budget), a true relationship builder (stakeholder management is key) and have the experience to create fresh and engaging content (with the help of external providers as required) for our people. You're interested in the latest trends and techniques to engage audiences and are passionate about continually evolving our curriculum and content.
Key Accountabilities
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Primary contact and accountability for L&D strategy across the Publicis Groupe ANZ
  • Partner with and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, Chief Talent Officer, General Manager Performance & Experience, People Management function ( Heads of P&C & P&C BPs), Director of Connected Careers and agency leadership & L&D executive.
  • Reporting line - L&D Executive
  • Assess and identify training needs, gaps, development needs, initiatives, and priorities.
  • Management of the local Learning & Development budget
  • Consult with stakeholders to ensure programs are relevant to intended participants.
  • Create fresh content in partnership with specialists as required, and build into Publicis Groupe L&D curriculum.
  • Co-ordinate with external or internal qualified facilitators to conduct targeted modules.
  • Vet external consultants/ facilitators to ensure their delivery is of high quality and tailored to meet our needs and compliments the existing platform.
  • Conduct “train-the-trainer” with our internal qualified facilitator or P&C representatives as required.
  • Ensure all participants provide feedback evaluations in the training and make amendments to style, approach, content based on the feedback received.
  • Address and provide assistance with any Learning Development queries from managers or P&C representatives on their internal training programs, including induction training, compliance training, graduate programs and career develop plans/paths.
  • Keep abreast of latest trends in Learning and Development e.g. AI and techniques to incorporate into our approach and content.
  • Continuously evolve L&D curriculum and course content based on feedback received.
  • Oversee the co-ordination of all Publicis Groupe Learning and Development programs and training metrics.
  • Report on L&D metrics for the Publicis Groupe Executive and Agency Leadership teams.
  • Consider cost of planned programs and keep the programs within approved budget parameters.
  • Work with the PG leadership to establish training for special projects and program roll outs across the group.

Your experience:
  • Strategic Planning: capacity to develop a strategic vision for learning and development aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Leadership: experience to lead and inspire the learning and development team as well as influence stakeholders across the organization
  • Instructional Design: Experience in designing effective learning materials, courses and curricula using instructional design + applied learning concepts
  • Training + Facilitation: Passionate and engaging facilitator (you know how to hold an audience)
  • Project Management: you know how to keep lots of balls in the air at the one time)
  • Collaboration: A passionate, team player who truly believes in collaboration
  • Communication: A director of communication and stakeholder management
  • Budgeting + Resource Management: Commercially-savvy (you can maintain multiple budgets and priorities)
  • Research + Data Analysis: Comfortable conducting TNA's & evaluating training investment
  • Agility: Comfortable with fast-paced, adaptive environments
  • Creativity: A love and aptitude for creativity in all its forms
  • Empathy + Emotional Intelligence: Capacity to comprehend the needs and motivations of learners and create inclusive learning environments that cater to diverse backgrounds and learning styles
Your Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role (or an alternative one with relevant experience)
  • A background in an advertising, media, creative, digital agency or tech-based company.
