They are currently seeking a highly experienced Learning and Development Officer to join their team in Parramatta. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the Asset Training team, you will be required to provide training on processes, procedures, process maps, user guides and how-to-video’s to assist the implementation of the New Maintenance Contract. You will be required to deliver training virtually, face to face and through eLearning. You will contribute to the design and development of e-learning modules using Articulate Storyline as well as face to face training materials, resources and facilitator guides and Quick Reference Guides
Responsibilities
- Partner with key stakeholders across business to identify development needs
- Complete gap analysis and skill mapping activities
- Prepare, prioritise and execute the organisations Learning and development (L&D) plan
- Identify training and development priorities and needs of the organisation, specific units and individuals
- Provide advice on Learning and development related matters to enhance overall performance and upskilling needs
- Coordinate the planning and administration to prepare and deliver training and development programs within budget.
- Design and develop adult learning activities including face to face training materials, resources, toolkits, mentoring, facilitator guides, quick reference guides and e-learning modules
- Develop and maintain a user centric system with quick reference guides and overview videos where applicable
- Design and publish all online and paper-based resources and material, evaluating the effectiveness whilst ensuring compliance with guidelines
- Monitor, evaluate and measure progress towards learning objectives
- Prepare and present content in a clear and engaging format, that is appropriate for multiple audiences
- Translate complex terminology to everyday use
- Assist in training delivery where required
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders across all levels

- Adaptable, quick thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating adult education
- Proven Learning & Development experience with a focus on e-learning platforms
- Demonstrated skills mapping experience
- Experience with Articulate Storyline, Vyond, VISIO, Captivate and/or Adapt Software
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Ability to commence immediately and commit to the duration of the assignment
