As the first Steiner School in Australia, Glenaeon has a fine heritage of pioneering work in innovative education dating back to our origins in 1957. We now educate up to 500 students from Preschool to Year 12 across three campuses at Castlecrag, Middle Cove and Willoughby on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
We currently have opportunities for a Learning Support Assistants to join our team and support the learning needs of students throughout the school, from K-12. This is permanent part-time position – up to 3 days per week, working days negotiable, commencing 23 July 2024.
You will not be required to work during the school holiday period.
As part of the Student Support Services Team you will work closely with teachers and students in classrooms and in small group settings to enhance the holistic development and educational progress of students with identified learning needs and support students with identified disabilities. The key focus of the role is delivery of academic support to students including working with Individual Education Plans for students with a disability, preparation of teaching aids and support materials and some administrative/record keeping work.
To be considered for the position you will need experience in providing academic support and working with differentiated levels of ability, including neuro-diversity. Certificate III or IV in Educational Support or equivalent would be highly regarded. A Working With Children Clearance must also be provided prior to commencing.
