Part Time - 24.5 hours per week

Key Selection Criteria:

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Have a Certificate III in Education Support (CHC30213) or equivalent 
• Be a collaborative team member who participates in meetings and events, and uses communication channels effectively to support students and staff
• Have a sound understanding of the NSW Australian curriculum for Stages 4-5 (High School Years 7-10)
• Demonstrate a high level of competence in making adjustments for students who need support
• Show confidence in monitoring the progress of the students, and providing teachers with regular updates
• Be able to lead small-group instruction and discussions if required
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of curriculum differentiation 
• Have excellent standards in literacy and numeracy
• Have an excellent command of spoken English
• Have experience in professional settings which require a positive rapport with teenagers and show confidence in interacting comfortably with teenagers
• Understand the principles and practices of Steiner education, or show a willingness to learn
• Take initiative and be flexible, but also take direction from teachers as required
• Understand the importance of confidentiality 

The successful candidate must also provide a Working with Children Clearance prior to commencing.
