Learning Support Assistant Stage 3

Temporary Fulltime Position

Waverley College invites applications for a Learning Support Assistant to commence at our Junior School Campus in Term 2 until the end of the 2025 School Year, with the possibility to extend the position at that time. The responsibility of this position will be to provide support and assistance to students with specific learning difficulties, mental health conditions, sensory impairment, physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. This positon will work predominantly Term Time only.

Essential Crireria

• A commitment to working towards the goal of achieving equal access to education for students with disabilities.
• Sensitivity towards students and discretion in handling confidential information
• A flexible team worker, able to readily adapt to the changing needs of the students and the busy and unpredictable nature of the school environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with digital learning platforms and adaptive technology
• Relevant qualification in Education Support
