In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for making impactful contributions to the teaching efforts of the School. Your duties will extend beyond traditional classrooms, encompassing diverse activities such as tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, student field excursions, clinical/studio sessions, workshops, and residential schools. As an integral part of the academic team, you will initiate and develop unit material, coordinate units, and deliver lectures and seminars with a focus on engaging and inspiring students. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to teach vocational education and training (VET) units, leveraging your qualifications and experience to meet the standards of a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to conduct research individually or as part of a larger team, actively engage in professional activities, and supervise the course of study for honours and/or postgraduate students. Your commitment to academic excellence, coupled with effective communication skills, will enable you to conduct consultations with students, perform marking and development of assessment tasks, and contribute to a range of administrative functions associated with your role. Position Requirements
Relevant postgraduate qualification in (allied) Health Sciences, or equivalent in the discipline area. A doctoral qualification (PhD) will be highly regarded.
Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education.
Proven record in scholarship and/or excellence in research, including peer-reviewed publications in international/national journals of high repute and successful research grant applications.
Demonstrated ability to engage in research areas aligning with a research strength at CQUniversity, and a willingness to engage in sourcing and obtaining external grants and contracts.
Demonstrated capacity to engage and network effectively with industry and community partners and stakeholders.
Willingness to obtain, if required, a qualification in adult education in order to meet the minimum requirements of a Registered Training Organisation as outlined in the relevant government Standards e.g. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a Diploma or higher level qualification in adult education (e.g. Bachelor or Graduate Certificate in Tertiary and Adult Education)
You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID-19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting / venue / event where there is a specific entry requirement for you to hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
