The Opportunity
Stanley College is looking for expressions of interest by qualified lecturers to deliver units on a part-time basis in the Bachelor of ICT, the Bachelor of Community Services and in Digital Marketing at our campus in West Perth. Lecturers would be responsible for providing high quality learning and teaching across designated units within a Higher Education discipline. These positions involve the coordination of units, the conduct of unit reviews and as well as related academic administration. The lecturers are expected to carry out scholarship and professional activities relevant to the discipline. The Lecturers report to the relevant Academic Program Manager.
Responsibilities
• Conduct teaching activities which stimulate and foster student learning.
• Contribute to innovative development of learning materials.
• Provide appropriate learning and teaching support to achieve intended learning outcomes.
• Provide feedback to students and assess feedback from students.
• Keep abreast of current discipline theory and practice and apply these in teaching and learning.
• Undertake a range of administrative functions related to the units taught.
• Foster a positive overall academic, social, and cultural experience of Higher Education.
• Engage in scholarly activities.
The Successful Candidate will have:
• AQF level 9 or higher degree in the relevant field OR equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Current knowledge relevant to the discipline being delivered.
• Demonstrated high level written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact with students and staff in a culturally diverse environment.
• Well-developed time management skills.
• Ability to contribute to a collegial and supportive work environment.
• Commitment to undertake or continue scholarly activities.
• Current knowledge of the requirements of the ESOS Act 2000 and the National Code 2007 together with a working understanding of Department of Education and Training (DET) requirements for managing international students.
