The Role
This role will provide you with the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a fun and dynamic environment.
Over a 12-month period, you will gain exposure to legal support duties within the Construction team while completing relevant studies, achieving a Certificate lll of Legal Services at the end.
Furthermore, you will be supervised and mentored by senior staff, who will ensure you excel and get the most out of your traineeship.
Whilst each day will be different, key elements of the role will include:

  • Secretarial support for high volume general administrative tasks;
  • Word processing, typing and amending documents and correspondence;
  • Day to day filing, scanning, copying and saving of emails and legal documents (both physical and electronic files);
  • Taking messages accurately and directing to appropriate channel;
  • Diary management for authors, including booking meetings either in person or virtually;
  • Weekly financial reports for authors;
  • Domestic travel arrangements;
  • Processing of credit card reconciliation and reimbursements;
  • File opening and closing; and
  • Time entry, monthly billing and reporting including client specific reporting and uploading of invoices to client portals.

Experience
As the successful candidate, you will have some experience in an administrative role, with a keen desire to build on your capabilities and pursue a career within the legal industry. Furthermore, you will have:
  • An ability to exercise initiative;
  • Maturity around confidential and sensitive information;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external parties;
  • An ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines;
  • Impeccable attention to detail;
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of software applications.
