The Opportunity
We are currently looking for Legal Counsel to support the facilitation of business goals by assisting in the delivery of the legal function.
The Role
The role achieves this by:
- Providing robust and practical legal advice and guidance across a broad range of areas including commercial matters, procurement, technology and project delivery.
- Preparation, drafting and review of legal and commercial documentation.
- Reviewing internal company policies and procedures to ensure legal sufficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Management of legal matters, including disputes.
- Stakeholder management and engagement.
About You
At this level, the applicant is expected to be an expert in their field and have 3 - 5 years’ experience in private practice or a similar in-house role, with a current legal practising certificate. The applicant is focussed on working collaboratively with their peers to influence others and achieve their function’s goals, as defined by their manager and is able to do so with a high degree of independence. They should have the ability to support the Head of Legal, Senior Legal Counsel and internal stakeholders by providing commercial and practical legal advice and guidance on both routine and complex matters.
