Our team seeks to enable Cabrini’s mission and business activities through our strategy for the provision of legal advice, legal risk and compliance management, and advice generally to Cabrini Health management, Executive and Board.The role is predominantly based at Cabrini’s Research building in Malvern and the corporate office in Camberwell, with a hybrid working model with remote working option.Reporting to the Group Director Legal & Corporate Affairs and Senior Legal Counsel, key responsibilities include the following:Providing counsel and advice across a range of legal domains with a particular emphasis on contract/commercial, employment and health lawInterpreting/applying legislation, codes and standards (including privacy)Monitoring the terms and conditions of engagement of legal advisers and the services provided by these advisersAbout youYou will be a qualified legal practitioner and demonstrate the following:Qualified legal practitionerCurrent valid admission to practice as solicitor in the State of VictoriaTop quality private practice and/or in house counsel experienceExpertise in contracts, contract and commercial law, company law, employment law and related industrial relations matters and interpreting/applying legislation, codes and standards (including privacy laws)Medico-legal experience an advantageExperience in the not-for-profit sector and knowledge of not-for-profit law in Australia an advantageAbility to provide credible, trusted, pragmatic and value adding legal services, with concern for quality and standardsProven self-starter with desire for empowerment and accountabilityProblem solving skills – able to identify problems, identify solutions and make recommendations to solve problemsApplications must include a cover letter and address the key responsibilities and professional experience.To view the full position description clickEnquiries to: Group Director Legal & Corporate Affairs Paul Vine on 0401 050 076Working for CabriniCabrini Health is a Catholic, private, for-purpose health service located in Melbourne’s south east.
