Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate Typing: Perform precise word processing and typing tasks.
- Document Preparation: Transcribe and draft files and legal documents.
- Diary Management: Effectively manage schedules and appointments.
- Correspondence: Prepare documents and handle routine correspondence.
- Filing Management: Maintain and monitor filing systems, ensuring follow-up on all correspondence using database systems.
- Client Interaction: Manage incoming calls and welcome visitors.
- Information Management: Handle information using Excel spreadsheets and practice management systems (Open Practice).
- Administrative Support: Undertake various duties as required.
- Professional Service Delivery: Ensure all services are completed in a timely and professional manner.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with transcribing from dictation recordings.
- Fast and accurate typing skills.
- Typist or legal secretarial background, coupled with a very strong eye for detail and accuracy with systems would be advantageous.
- Experience with formatting documents.
- Highly developed organisation and communication skills.
- The ability to operate independently with a high level of initiative.
- Good IT skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
