Our Commercial team is searching for a junior Legal Secretary on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be assisting two practice areas primarily, with a range of administration, marketing and data tasks while gaining on the job mentoring, training and support.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include assisting with:
- Opening new files and undertaking conflict checks
- Drafting Costs Agreements and correspondence
- Monthly team billing and debtor management
- Answering phones calls and taking messages
- Scheduling meetings and organising calendars
- Liaising with stakeholders, including clients, Principals and Solicitors
- Data entry
- Taking notes and action items at meetings
- File management, saving emails and correspondence on files
- Preparation and organisation of presentations and client events
- Other general administration tasks as required
Requirements
As this is a junior role, we recognise you may not have prior experience in the legal industry. What is more important to us is your attention to detail, commitment, and motivation to learn.
You will need to have:
- Confidence in building lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Be IT inquisitive, including at a minimum high level skills in Outlook 365 and Word
- Initiative in taking on tasks when required
- Attention to detail and great time management skills
