Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library will be a state-of-the-art, innovative library committed to serving our diverse community by providing access to information, resources, and programs that enrich lives and inspire lifelong learning. As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking dedicated Library Officers to help us provide high quality library services.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service to a diverse community.
- An ability to recommend suitable collection choices and promote and instruct in the use of library technologies.
- The ability to assist in the delivery of activities for all community members, which may consist of Story Time and Baby Time sessions, Book Chats, and other similar programs.
- Maintain the library collection by shelving materials, supporting collection management tasks, and organising displays.
- Contribute to the development of library policies, procedures, and initiatives to enhance user experience and meet community needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the library and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Victorian Certificate of Education or equivalent.
- A demonstrated understanding of the role of the modern customer focused public library.
- Customer service experience is essential.
- Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to embrace innovation and change in a dynamic library setting.
- First aid qualifications are desirable.
