We have transformed how we do Lifestyle here at CaSPA Care and are offering the opportunity for an exceptional Lifestyle Assistant to join our dynamic team.
CaSPA care has moved away from the highly institutional medical based model of care to an exciting 'Household Model' that has our residents in a more home like environment.
We don't expect our residents to fit into a rigid routine, we encourage independence and choice around routine, interests, activities, social gatherings, preferred meals and more.
About the role:
- Coordinating activities for residents as per the lifestyle program and completing required documentation.
- Working with other Lifestyle Staff to promote social and community engagement for residents.
- Promote opportunities for resident participation in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of recreational programs
- Assisting the Lifestyle Coordinator in the appropriate delegation and support of volunteers.
- Acting at all times to protect the rights of residents, including confidentiality, privacy, individual choice and decision making
- Document exceptions to the Lifestyle Care plan in the progress notes and report same to Lifestyle Coordinator and Registered Nurse.
About you:
- Diploma/Tertiary qualification in Diversional Therapy or Diploma
- Demonstrated experience in Aged Care Wellness and Lifestyle
- Knowledge of aged care accreditation standards
- Minimum two years’ experience in aged care
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
