About the opportunity
As an integral part of the Residential Services team and reporting to the Residential Services Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating lifestyle staff and activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Promotion and communication of lifestyle and activity programs and events to residents, staff and visitors
Developing and maintaining social/lifestyle care plans for all individual residents in consultation with the resident/representative
Overseeing the implementation of activities including any aides or assistive devices required for resident participation
Reviewing and analysing lifestyle and activity programs
About you
The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving the wellbeing of older people and building an inclusive and community environment. Essential criteria include:
A relevant Certificate/Diploma/Degree
Ability to lead, guide and mentor a team of lifestyle staff
Extensive experience working with older people in a lifestyle capacity
Current Senior First Aid Certificate
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to identify priorities and work with conflicting deadlines
An understanding of the Aged Care standards; documentation and accreditation
Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
