About the role
The primary objective of this position is to provide support for the development, definition, and maintenance of the Laboratory Information System (LIS) utilized by Eastern Health Pathology. This is a multi-faceted role that involves providing assistance through the help desk, as well as engaging in the analysis and definition of business requirements for LIS systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the LIS operates smoothly and efficiently, and that any issues that arise are promptly addressed. Additionally, this position involves working collaboratively with other members of the team to identify opportunities for process improvement and to ensure that the LIS aligns with the overall strategic goals of the organization.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Problem-solving skills: Ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues effectively within specified timeframes.
• Customer service orientation: Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mindset to provide exceptional support to clients and maintain positive relationships.
• Team player: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge and expertise to achieve common goals.
• Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and records.
• Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Continuous learning: Eagerness to stay updated on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
