CSA Mine is one of Australia’s longest operating copper mines with a history stretching back almost 150 years. At 1.9 kilometers deep, CSA is the second deepest copper mine in Australia and the third highest copper grade in the world. Located near the NSW town of Cobar, CSA Mine employs around 550 people and produces approximately 40,000 tonnes of copper concentrate per year. The ore is mined and processed on site and then transported by rail 700km to the Port of Newcastle for export. CSA Mine was acquired by Metals Acquisition Limited in June 2023.
Job Description
CSA Mine is looking for an experienced Administration Assistant to join the Mobile Maintenance team. You will work in a team that is focused on safety, while driving to meet the plan. You will work in one of the world’s most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Manage all administrative aspects of leave including creating yearly rosters. Maintain Prometheus roster and update SAP resource planner
- Enter written trades reports into SAP long text.
- Attach work orders, MDG’s, service sheets and plant file to SAP CMMS.
- Manage offsite ‘introduction to site’ inspections (MDG) to file and CMMS SAP.
- Create reports as required for superintendent and mobile maintenance team.
- Update and or create new producers / documents
- Raise purchase orders as required
- Maintain tool register/replacement and raise purchase orders when approved.
- Maintain PPE/Clothing register and raise purchase orders when approved.
- Conduct site access approvals for visitors/contractors and new employees.
- Provide leave coverage for Mining Administration and planners
- 12 Months experience in a similar administration role (preferred)
- Experience using a computer maintenance management system (SAP preferred)
- Basic understanding of maintenance processes
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail and time management skills
- Australian Manual Drivers Licence (minimum P2)
This is a Fixed Term (12-month) residential position and is offered on a Monday to Friday (5/2 4/3) roster. Potentially flexible to suit school hours depending on successful applicant. 12 weeks of free transit accommodation is provided to assist the successful applicant to source their own accommodation locally. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.
