Your new company
You will be working with the local council within the mechanical department, managing a team of two maintenance crew.
Your new role
You will ensure the council's equipment is maintained and repaired in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and safety requirements. Supervise, guide, and advise other workshop staff to ensure repairs are undertaken consistently with appropriate procedures and management of external service providers. Work effectively in a team environment to ensure the workshop provides an outstanding service to the Council’s activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Successful completion of a Tradesperson’s Certificate of Competency in Mechanical trade.
- Demonstrated skill with computer systems, including Microsoft packages
- A developed ability to guide and advise workshop staff and operators.
- A developed understanding of the maintenance and repair of a broad range of light and heavy plant and equipment. Demonstrated experience in implementing and monitoring WHS, Risk Management
- A current WHS General Construction Induction (White) card.
- Proof of vaccination status for COVID-19.
