Assist team members to maintain and construct projects that enhance or modify roads, drainage, traffic infrastructure, parks, reserves, and general facilities.
Duties:
- Operate power tools such as line trimmers, chainsaws, and leaf blowers
- Operate self propelled or tractor mounted mowers or other turf maintenance equipment
- May operator forklift, small excavator, front end loader, if suitably qualified
- Undertake garden maintenance, pruning, replanting, mulching, and litter collection
- Apply pesticides and herbicides when required
- Assist with maintenance activities associated with sports fields, playgrounds, and active spaces
- MR/HR Truck licence
- First Aid Certification
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management accreditation
- White card
- Experience working in outdoor environments
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Experience with hand tools and power operated equipment
- Ability to work within a team based environment under limited supervision
- Understanding of horticultural principles including gardening and mowing
- Possesses a spray technicians’ licence or has significant demonstrated experience applying herbicides and pesticides
- Cert III Horticulture or Parks and Gardens
- Current LR Class Drivers Licence (applicable to WA)
- Forklift, Dogging, Rigging HRWL
