Your key duties are:
- Control and manage maintenance planning, cost estimating, scheduling, repairs and maintenance. (including spares and stores oversight).
- Maintain, monitor and report progress against weekly maintenance plans and targets to the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance representatives.
- Review initiate and close out maintenance activities within the maintenance planning system (FMMS). This includes backlog review and work prioritisation.
- Plan, and supervise as required, project work, including shut-downs work planning, identifying available resources and equipment and arrange supplementary contract labour where necessary.
- Arrange and coordinate the attendance of external service providers to carry out site works as required.
- Support the continuous allocation of contract labour and equipment so that functions are undertaken in accordance with standard maintenance procedures, legislative requirements.
- Provide appropriate contract management support, general supervision and backup where required on specific projects.
- Assist in the investigation of proposals, liaise with customers, prepare cost estimates and justifications.
- Assist with the management of statutory inspections and records.
- Coordination of maintenance personnel training requirements.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical, Electrical or other relevant planning /trade qualification.
- Maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Experience in budget preparation.
Technical Skills / Experience:
- Well-developed organisation and planning skills including the ability to manage a diverse range of tasks concurrently to achieve deadlines.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with customers and suppliers.
- Well-developed customer focus and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Well-developed job scheduling & cost estimating skills.
- Well-developed computer literacy skills, including experience with Maintenance based systems and spreadsheet development.
- Current ‘C’ or ‘CA’ class drivers’ licence.
