Amazon is seeking for Senior Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) Technicians to join our Maintenance & Engineering team at our Brand New Robotics site in Kemps Creek.
As a Senior RME Technician, you will play a key role in guiding the technical team in providing both reactive and pro-active maintenance services on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure within the Fulfillment Center.
Please note that the shift pattern is based on a business need and requires availability to work a rotating roster which rotates from days to nights every month. (12 hour shifts x 7 shifts per fortnight) and require appropriate working rights in Australia.
Key job responsibilities
- Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site,
- Provide supervision and leadership to Maintenance Technicians
- Mentor technicians by motivating, providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with all stakeholders across all levels in the organisation
- Develop and deliver Preventive Maintenance programs
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all Fulfillment Center systems including operational equipment and facilities

Basic Qualifications
- Formal trade qualification Fitter/Turner (Cert lll in Engineering Mechanical Trade) or current electrical trade license (Cert lll in Electrotechnology)
- Experience in a maintenance focused role, skilled in electrical or mechanical disciplines
- Experience in mentoring and developing junior technicians
- Experience in automation or complex MHE environments
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to
- plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
- Understanding of overall equipment effectiveness and equipment performance metrics
- Knowledge of Statutory Compliance requirements
- Experience of contractor management
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage, coach and influence others on the team
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload
- Management experience/aptitude, ability to mentor and develop training plans for other service technicians
