The RoleWe currently have an opportunity for an experienced and qualified Sewer Maintenance Technician to join our team in Melbourne for a well- known client site.
Reporting to the Works Coordinator Sewer, the Sewer Maintenance Technician will work within a Sewer crew to repair; unblock mains, respond to customer requests and a work on a range of other Sewer related repairs within the CBD and West of Melbourne. The suitable applicant is required to use appropriate procedures and specifications and ensure activities are carried out in a safe, satisfactory and timely manner. Specific projects may also be carried out as required.
Skills and Experience- Awareness of and a strong commitment to OH&S procedures and standards
- Previous exposure working in compliance with all quality, safety & environmental legislation
- Experience in the Waste Water Industry (preferential however not essential)
- A self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork
- Ability to work on a rotating roster
- Valid Victorian manual driver's license (HR or HC preferred).
- Deep Excavation Experience >2.5m
- Working at heights Training
- Current Excavator Ticket, Confined Space Entry Ticket and up to date Hepatitis and Tetanus shots
