Management Accountant

What we are looking for someone who

• can analyse a service, break it down into activities so that the cost of providing each service can be understood by management, council and the community.
• can build robust excel models to analyse data and create accurate forecasts.
• understands asset accounting methods, can reconcile records between systems and maintain data integrity.
• can collaborate with others to achieve common goals both within immediate team and teams across Council.

Position Hours: Full-Time, 72.5 hours fortnight. 

Salary range: $88,964.83-$100,843.79 per annum

Application Criteria

1. Degree qualification in Accounting and knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
2. Demonstrated ability to analyse data and create insightful reports to support decision making.
3. Able to create financial models for analysis and forecasts.
4. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritise, plan and organise workloads.
5. Excellent communication skills, including the preparation of financial reports and work papers.
