Set in one of the most picturesque locations in the Swan Valley, we currently have an exciting opportunity for Full Time Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner to join the group. This is a role where you will have the opportunity to take charge of the reporting and accounting share services for allocated business entities within the Y-Group portfolio.
You will be tasked with providing critical management support to business leaders, insightful reporting into our wider business, improve reporting processes and work as an important member of the group finance team whilst also partnering with our wider non-finance stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and reports (with commentary) including journals, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of financial year end reports for external accountants (and or auditors), providing supporting information and managing delivery to within reporting timeframes.
- Preparing management reports tracking financial performance against budget/forecasts, along with variance and trend analysis including development and implementation of dashboard reporting
- Proactively Business Partnering with Managers for them to better understand their operations and business drivers, including developing improvement corrective actions with managers and follow up/assist with implementation
- Assist with the preparation budgets, and forecasts
- Project costing and analysis of cost center overheads
- Managing reporting/monitoring for capex projects and the accounting for fixed assets
- Payroll, and all regulatory compliance and tax compliance (GST, BAS FBT, Income Tax, PAYG, SGC)
- Prepare integrated business plan information and assist with audit requirements
- Working with the AP, AR transactions team and overseeing these for your portfolio
- Mentoring and support to the Finance Team, where required
- Systems and process improvement
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by the business
To be successful, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar accounting role.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or similar discipline.
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, cost margin analysis with ability to critically assess outputs to value add to the business.
- CPA / CA (or advance progression to gaining these qualifications)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Sound knowledge in tax and accounting standards
- Systems and IT conversant
- Experience with mid to large size ERP (Pronto preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to take ownership of continuous improvement initiatives and embrace/sponsor/promote change
- Strong stakeholder management skills (build rapport with multiple stakeholders in different locations) with high level of personal integrity, initiative and motivation
Highly desirable:
- Experience in developing and delivering BI reporting solutions; and maintaining data models.
