This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Management/Cost Accountant to join a rapidly growing Manufacturing business as they continue to expand nationally and internationally. This growing Australian company has a history spanning over 100 years within local manufacturing and is seeking a Management/Cost Accountant to join their Corporate Head Office in a career developing role - this is one for someone willing to learn and grow their skill base. With a strong customer base, you will be able to use your analytical skills to play a key role in adding value to the daily operations of this organisation. This is a role for an Analyst/Business Partner who is looking to grow their career, interact with various key decision makers within the business at the operational level.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working with an inspiring Executive Team you will provide support by delivering analysis and reporting on customer and product mix, cost drivers and assist with new projects and tactical plans. Essential is your appetite to learn and assist with the operations finance reporting and modelling skills using Excel and the latest reporting tool COGNOS and Pronto ERP system. You will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Collate, analyse and develop KPI's for monthly reporting including financial results for the sales channels
- Analyse financial trends
- Involvement in forecasting and budgeting
- Provide support to Senior Management Team
- Perform monthly cost roll-ups and review slow moving stock
- Manufacturing reporting, inventory variance reporting and recommendations on streamlining processes
- Prepare weekly and monthly factory KPI reports
- Providing ongoing product & sales analysis
- Responsible for Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Monitor project accounting and the controls
- Oversee the AR function and AR recs
- Adhoc project work
The Candidate
- Ideally you will be CPA/CA/CIMA qualified or working towards qualification and have a an appetite to learn and develop your skill base.
- Strong Excel skills is a must as is your ability to effectively utilise ERP and BI tools - Pronto and COGNOS desirable.
- Possess the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or similar industry will be highly regarded.
