Management Accountant - State Government

The Role:

We are seeking a talented Management Accountant for a 2-month contract, The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing budgets, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop cost-saving initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to senior management as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Prior experience in State Government - AO7 or higher 
• 3+ years of experience in management accounting or financial analysis role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
