Seeking Full Time Management Accountant

Orange Credit Union are seeking aManagement Accountant who will report directly to the Head of Finance.

Position:Management Accountant
Contract Type: Full Time or Part-time (4 days per week)
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years post-qualification experience required
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance in OCU Policies, governance process and standards
- Be proactive with a problem-solving attitude and solutions based thinking
- Supporting the Head of Finance in preparation of the Annual Budgeting cycle
- Supporting the Head of Finance to ensure the provision of accurate management and Board information, investment and regulatory reporting and financial analysis, where required
- Completing month-end closure requirements (pre-month end checks, ledger close, accruals, and prepayments)
- Completing provisioning / arrears/ delinquencies review and reporting
- Assisting the Finance team with payroll/superannuation/payroll tax & director payments and be a back-up for these tasks
- Assist the Finance team with weekly accounts payable process where necessary
- Participating in projects in accordance with budget and strategic goals for the organisation
Skills and Qualifications:
- Accounting qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Advanced Excel and database management experience
- Attention to detail with strong analysis skills
- Experience with Regulatory reporting - highly regarded but not essential
- Financial Services background - highly regarded but not essential
- Experience in financial accounting and reporting roles
