We are on the lookout for a Manager of Academic Content (Financial Services) to spearhead the creation of cutting-edge Kaplan Professional content. Lead the charge with the Financial Services content development team and external subject matter experts (SMEs) across Higher Education (HE), Vocational Education (VE), Continuing Education (CE), Non-award and bespoke content and craft top-tier, multimedia-rich educational content that captivates our audience and meets regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Meet agreed content delivery and targets for HE, VE, CE, Non-award and bespoke Financial Services content
- Ensure quality assurance processes are in place and implemented
- Ensure that all developed content is of sufficient depth and academic level, meets learning outcomes and is of relevance and interest for the target audience as well as complying with required regulatory requirements
- Participate in governance forums such as the Board of Examiners and Course Advisory Committees as required
- Ensure all developed content and assessments are technically reviewed and accurate
- Review and update course material to ensure technical accuracy and currency of content
- Research and write content and assessments as required
- Ensure copyright and screen rights compliance
- Participate in governance forums such as the Board of Examiners and Course Advisory Committees as required
- Drive and oversee the briefing of external writers on suggested topics, content requirements, deadlines, quality requirements, and ongoing improvements to content and products
- Manage staff and resources within the Financial ServicesAcademic Content team
- Establish a customer service and commercial culture and ensure agreed service standards for internal and external customers are met
- Master’s or higher qualification in a related discipline e.g. Applied Finance, Economics, Commerce, Law. (essential)
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team (essential)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Financial Services or related discipline, knowledge of regulatory obligations, industry and professional association codes (essential)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in learning design and delivery within both higher education and vocational education environments (essential)
- Demonstrated Knowledge of the regulations governing accredited higher and vocational education
- Previous responsibility and/or leadership of professional activities within a relevant external professional domain e.g. professional associations, conferences
- Proven ability to express complex concepts in a clear and concise manner and in a multimedia format
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- High-level analytical and technical skills with the utmost attention to detail
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment with substantial autonomy
